点金胜手周辛勇在机缘巧合下，结识了富家女柴沛勋（江美仪饰），并发展成为情侣。但是，由于二人背景悬殊，因而遭到反对，柴沛勋唯有提出分手，辛勇在年轻时曾与沛勋交往，两人亦已到达谈婚论嫁的地步，而辛勇亦主动向沛勋求婚，但是沛勋因为想完成自己的事业，故决定拒绝与辛勇结婚。辛勇与沛勋分手后，沛勋独自出国留学，回港后便成为了股市谘询委员会的主席，直至最近两人才恢复联络。
